Heritage Open Day
September 18 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pmFree
All our ‘staff’ are volunteers so please be patient if they are busy.
Poltimore House is delighted to once again be part of this national celebration of the nation’s heritage. The house will be open, allowing visitors to view the architecture ranging from the Tudor wing in the courtyard (containing a 1960s operating theatre) to the Rococo splendour of the Saloon.
New to see in 2021.
- The restoration of the 1830s porch and entryway. Due to this work access to the house will be via the North corridor (behind the project centre where the toilets are).
- The redecorated chapel which is now a lovely community space and home to Branches Cafe.
Branches Cafe will be open for drinks, snacks and a limited menu. The cakes, traybakes and pasties are all produced locally and have proved very popular.
There is parking on site.
